  Rented an electric door planer from Home Depot on Sunday night. Tool was defective, turning a 20 min task into a 2 hour job. I returned the tool the following morning, expecting understanding, compassion, and a refund. Found rental staff combative; arguing that I had "got the job done", that I should have called them earlier, or returned the tool first thing in the morning (6AM?) Will not return.

  I've been to this Home Depot many times for a variety of projects. The employees are all very friendly and helpful, the store is thoughtfully laid out and kept neat, and I've been happy with the materials I've purchased (from tiles and paint to pots and plants.) Prices are usually good, or at least fair, and if you need help selecting the right tool or project for a job they're happy to make good recommendations. And when it all comes down to it shopping at Home Depot is actually a pleasant experience. They have nice restrooms. People can bring their friendly dogs. The employees usually seem happy. And while that may have nothing to do with the quality of the products or their prices it does make a little difference.

  Love this store. They are friendly, knowledgeable and their prices are great. We are doing a home remodeling project and they have taken good care of us when we go to the store in search of materials and some reliable tips. Thanks for being a valuable asset to our community.
